DSG is most experienced with the Sunquest (formerly Misys) laboratory information system legacy anatomic pathology module, since version 4.3, CoMed’s CoPath information system and Sunquest, Cerner or DHT’s CoPath Plus information system. We also work with VistA, Quadramed and Psyche System’s Laboratory.
Our most common request is to create a migration path to products like Cerner Millennium PathNet, Meditech Client/Server, GE Ultra and custom formatted archival databases or reports. HL7 or vendor-specific data streams are used to transfer data out of one system and into another.
Anatomic pathology migrations include autopsy, surgical and molecular pathology, as well as cytology (gyn and non-gyn). Knowledge and execution of proper report versioning, report amendments and addenda are important factor in migrating pathology information systems accurately.
DSG can assist not only in transferring historical data, but we can help you build your new system’s infrastructure by supplying you with frequency counts by test and/or result code from the source system and dictionaries of all English translations of coded values for test and result codes, case type codes, report type codes, report section codes, tissue type codes, SNOMED codes, custom diagnosis codes, pathologists, physicians, technicians and inpatient and outpatient facilities.
While every migration project is different and requires its own nuanced design specification, some of the more common requests are for:
Some sites have chosen to reconstitute historical archived data from a prior information system into the new target system or into a new archive database.
